NEWS AND INSIGHTS FROM FINTRX
AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity have become a regular part of how distribution, asset-raising, and business development teams research firms and prepare for outreach. The limitation has always been data access. On their own, these tools have no connection to structured, current private wealth intelligence, which means teams still have to leave the conversation, log into a separate platform, and manually validate what they find.
FINTRX MCP closes that gap by connecting FINTRX's private wealth data directly into the AI tools professionals already use and turning a plain-language question into a real-time, sourced answer. With the release of FINTRX MCP v2.2, that integration just became significantly faster and more capable.
FINTRX MCP is FINTRX's Model Context Protocol integration, a standardized way for AI platforms to securely access external data sources in real time rather than relying only on what the model was trained on. Instead of switching between an AI assistant and a separate research platform, users can ask a question directly inside Claude, ChatGPT, or Perplexity and receive an answer grounded in FINTRX's live dataset, covering RIAs, broker-dealers, family offices, advisor teams, and endowments and foundations.
The original version of FINTRX MCP relied on a single broad search tool and a single broad lookup tool to handle every type of request. That structure worked, but it required the AI model to process a large set of instructions before it could begin reasoning, which slowed response times.
Version 2.2 replaces that single-tool structure with 42 purpose-built tools, up from 10, each designed to handle one specific task. Internally, FINTRX measured a 12x reduction in the instructions and tokens the AI model has to process before reasoning begins. In practical terms, that means faster, more conversational responses whether the request comes through Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or FINTRX's own AI analyst product, Fin.
Beyond speed, MCP v2.2 introduces access to data and analysis that the original version could not support.
→ Full coverage of the FINTRX wealth teams dataset: MCP v2.2 adds dedicated tools for advisor team overviews, office locations, historical movements, and related news, a dataset that did not exist in FINTRX MCP's first version.
→ Macro-level trend analysis: Instead of pulling data one firm or contact at a time, v2.2 supports channel-wide analysis of rep movement, headcount growth, M&A activity, and active ETF exposure, giving teams a view of where the private wealth market is shifting rather than a single data point.
→ Deeper RIA and family office intelligence: New dedicated tools cover AUM and account history, 13F holdings and ticker positions, custodian relationships, historical acquisitions, and private funds, along with news filtered by category such as hires, M&A, and general coverage.
→ Faster entity resolution: New lookup tools allow users to match a firm or contact directly by name, CRD number, email, or LinkedIn URL, cutting out extra search steps.
The private wealth landscape does not stand still. Advisors move between firms, family offices shift allocation preferences, and new wealth teams form on a regular basis. A static export or a database that updates monthly is already out of date by the time it reaches a spreadsheet.
FINTRX's platform continuously updates in real time, combining AI-powered data collection with a research team that verifies and enhances every record. MCP v2.2 extends that same real-time foundation into the AI tools professionals are already using every day, so the answer inside a chat window reflects the current state of the market rather than a snapshot from weeks earlier.
→ Distribution teams can track advisor movement, monitor coverage gaps, and identify where reps are joining or leaving RIA and broker-dealer firms, all through a natural language query.
→ Asset-raising teams can identify family offices and RIAs actively allocating to a given strategy, review direct investment activity, and monitor which allocators are expanding into new asset classes.
→ Business development and recruiting teams can surface M&A activity, rep movement trends, and wealth team formation to identify recruiting targets or acquisition opportunities earlier.
Clients already using FINTRX MCP will be automatically upgraded to version 2.2, with no setup required. Firms that have not yet connected FINTRX to their AI tools can get started by linking FINTRX to Claude, ChatGPT, or Perplexity through the connectors menu in each platform.
The result is a private wealth research process that no longer requires switching between platforms: ask a question, and get a real-time, data-backed answer from the industry's most comprehensive private wealth intelligence platform.
