Overview

Tate Asset Management is an independent registered investment adviser that acts as a capital allocator for both high-net-worth individuals and select institutional clients. The firm provides financial planning, discretionary portfolio management for individuals and small businesses, and the selection and oversight of outside managers. Its fee arrangements include a percentage-of-AUM model as well as hourly and fixed-fee engagements, allowing flexibility across client types and planning projects. Investment emphasis is on equities, with a clear tilt toward exchange-traded securities for core exposure. Management appears to run a core-satellite approach: ETFs supply broad market and sector coverage while individual equity positions are used for tactical or concentrated ideas. The firm also directs capital to third-party alternative managers in areas such as real estate and commodities when those exposures fit client objectives. Tate Asset Management does not identify as an active ESG investor.
